Users of the largest crypto exchange Binance complain about difficulties with the withdrawal of cryptocurrency. In particular, clients of the trading platform faced delays in completing transfers.

Mike Alfred, a popular investor in the crypto community, drew attention to the fact that he had to wait 12 hours for the withdrawal of the cryptocurrency.

“Why do Binance customers have to wait 12 hours for their coins to be withdrawn from the exchange? I thought they [the crypto exchange] could handle any amount of withdrawals,” Mike Alfred wrote in his microblog, noting that an attempt to “accustom” clients to long withdrawals could be a harbinger of the imminent closure of the platform.

There are other messages on the net, the authors of which talk about the problems of withdrawing funds from the trading platform.

Members of the crypto community joke that the speed of withdrawing cryptocurrencies suggests that the crypto exchange stores coins somewhere other than the orbital station.

Binance has experienced a high volume of withdrawals of user funds amid media reports that U.S. regulators may bring criminal charges against the leadership of the crypto exchange.

Recall that in November 2022, the crypto industry experienced the collapse of one of the largest crypto exchanges FTX. Against the backdrop of the crisis, tension has grown in the crypto community. In particular, crypto investors began to react more sharply to information about the problems of crypto exchanges.

The head of the trading platform, Changpeng Zhao, was quick to reassure clients. According to him, all user assets are fully secured and coin owners can withdraw them in full at any time. At the same time, members of the crypto community have questions about the reliability of data on the reserves of the crypto exchange.

Changpeng Zhao does not deny that Binance is going through a difficult period. At the same time, the businessman assures market participants that the crypto exchange will “survive in any crypto winter.”

The fact that Binance’s position may be worse than Changpeng Zhao is trying to imagine is indicated by rumors that the company is preparing for a significant reduction in New Year’s bonuses for employees. Information about this appeared in the microblog of Chinese journalist Colin Wu.

Recall that earlier Changpeng Zhao ridiculed competitors who have to adjust costs against the backdrop of crypto winter.
