A US court has refused to retrial former FTX Group executive Sam Bankman-Fried on charges brought by prosecutors in the Bahamas.

Sam Bankman-Fried was charged with bribing foreign officials, bank fraud and operating a business without a license. However, as Bloomberg reports, a U.S. District Judge named Lewis Kaplan declined to retrial Bankman-Fried.

The court announced that the charges, which were brought by prosecutors in the Bahamas, from where Bankman-Fried was extradited to the United States, were already considered during the original trial and will be taken into account at the final sentencing, scheduled for March 28 next year.

Let us recall that Bankman-Fried was previously found guilty on all charges and could be sentenced to up to 115 years in prison.
