Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin received the first digital invoice in the format of a non-fungible token (NFT) as a gift at the Transport of Russia exhibition. It is reported by TASS.
According to industry representatives, from September 1, it is possible to issue an invoice, an accompanying statement and other transport documents electronically. Thus, the market will be able to get rid of more than 3 billion securities, they explained.
Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Dmitry Bakanov emphasized that the digitalization of all documents is what business and the state need.
“For business, this means speeding up the exchange of primary documents with customers, reducing the associated terms of payment for services and transportation costs, improving the efficiency of business processes, and eliminating barriers to electronic data exchange between business entities and regulatory and supervisory authorities. For the state, it is the ability to access data for the implementation of the control and supervisory function,” Bakanov said.
Mishustin agreed with the importance of digitalization, noting that documents should not reach addressees slower than transport arrives.
